• LEE FERTIG

    Director, International School of Brussels

Jill is one of the most professional and authentic professionals I have worked with. Her rich clinical experience is coupled with a true collaborative style that takes into consideration the specific needs of those she is providing services to, enable Jill to be extremely successful in what she does.
  • DAVID PENBERG

Head of School, Woodstock Day School

Jill is one of the most humane, caring, and intelligent child psychologists that I have ever encountered… she is regarded in the Barcelona community as a source of integrity and wisdom. She is a natural collaborator who works respectfully with teachers, parents, and administrators in creating intervention plans… Every school needs a Jill Jenkins as a voice of child advocacy for the social and emotional well being of children.
  • WILLIAM J KNAUER

Head of School , The Harvey School

In my role as Head of School at BFIS…I have come to respect the work that Dr. Jill does with children, adolescents, and adults; to appreciate the time and energy she contributes to our school; and to rely on the professional wisdom and thoughtful advice she so generously shares.
  • PAUL RUSSELL FULCE

Upper School Principal, The American School of Bilbao

During our four years together, supporting students and families, Jill spent every moment advocating for and finding solutions for families navigating the international school world. As an expert with a wealth of information in the USA and throughout Europe, Jill is able to tailor her guidance for any circumstance or need. She is collaborative, caring, and connects immediately with students, adults and educators.
  • NANCY SOTO

Adjunct Lecturer for Child Welfare, Phillips Graduate University

Dr. Jill truly creates the most comprehensive psych evals that I have ever seen, both in the USA and in Europe. Her reports are thorough, yet easy to understand… Besides diagnosing, Dr. Jill’s reports offer a host of prescriptive interventions to be applied by the school, parents and students themselves…. Dr. Jill is an excellent resource to the school community and especially the counselors and has a natural ability to make parents feel supported and secure. I felt grateful to have been able to work with her. What a jewel!
SCHOOL POLICY AND PROCEDURE DEVELOPMENT

Dr. Jenkins assists schools in creating school policy and procedure manuals to ensure individual, classroom, and whole school wellness is proactively addressed and, in the unfortunate case of needing to respond to a crisis, that a policy has already been created to provide a road map of interventions.

  • Anti-bullying Policy
  • Procedures for Suspected Child Abuse
  • Procedure for Death of Staff Member/ Student
  • Procedure for National Tragedy
  • School Policy on Grade Retention and Advancement
  • Positive Behavioral Support Policy
  • IEP Process and Procedure Policy for Children with Special Learning Needs
INDIVIDUAL AND WHOLE SCHOOL WELLNESS SCREENING

Dr. Jenkins can assist schools in creating a whole school wellness screening approach that will monitor individual children, classrooms, and whole school wellness. This procedure can be used proactively in early identification of students who are displaying concerning behaviors, and classroom clusters that might require additional Tier 2 (small group) support systems to be put in place.

CRISIS INTERVENTION

Crisis intervention is provided on pro-bono basis to schools. The extent of Dr. Jenkins' intervention depends on availability, but she will always do her best to help guide and counsel school administration during emergencies. Some of these to date have included student and faculty deaths, suicide attempts, child protection issues, and national disasters.

SUPERVISION SERVICES FOR SCHOOL COUNSELORS

Supervision for school counselors has been provided by Dr. Jenkins to several academic institutions. This supervision can be a "one-off" consultation session due to a particular individual student issue or for a larger school context dilemma. Supervision can also be provided on a regular basis (weekly, bi-monthly or monthly) to provide mentoring to counseling departments.

CONSULTATION AND PLANNING FOR INDIVIDUAL STUDENT NEEDS

Dr. Jenkins often assists schools in creating individual behavior plans or Individualized Educational Programs for students with unique social or learning needs in the academic setting.
